The front cover of the 2021 Vol.23 Issue 3 of the Journal of Gems & Gemmology was selected for the 2021 BIBF Exhibition’s special section-High-Quality Publications for the 100th anniversary of the funding of the Communist Party of China. At the same time, the journal’s special column, “Weal and Woe of One Hundred Years, Heart and Soul of the Party: Appreciation of jade carving themed by the development of the party”, was also selected by experts for the exhibition, which was held from September 14th to 18th 2021 at the China International Exhibition Center(Shunyi).

The 28th Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF), sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Municipality and hosted by the China National Book Import and Export Corporation, was launched on September 14th, 2021. And the 2021 BIBF Exhibition of High-Quality Publications sponsored by China Periodicals Association is an important theme exhibition of this International Book Fair.

The exhibition pays tribute to periodical workers throughout the country, shows the achievements of contemporary periodicals from various aspects and celebrates the centennial birthday of the Communist Party of China. There are four themes: Rare editions celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, high-quality publications themed by propaganda for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, high-quality periodicals themed by “Rural Revitalization”, and periodicals selected for exhibition on the 1st “Founder Electronic Cup” China Periodical Design Art Week.

The Journal of Gems & Gemmology will continue to work hard, keep the original intention, forge ahead and strive forward for better dissemination of academic achievements, provide better services to the gem disciplines and industry development. Congratulations on the journal!
