Bibliometric Analysis of Nephrite Research Progress

  • Clarifying the current status and progress of research on nephrite not only helps promote the depth of nephrite research in China, but also provides valuable references for subsequent scholars. The literature relevant to nephrite was obtained by retrieving data from CNKI database. The knowledge map was constructed by Excel 2019 and VOSviewer, and the comprehensive research was carried out by combining quantitative research and qualitative analysis. The results reveal that (1) from the aspect of research overview, the research field on nephrite is mainly conducted by members of universities and academic institutions, forming 12 research teams. The distribution of research results is relatively concentrated, which is mainly published in a few journals such as Acta Petrologica et Mineralogica, Spectroscopy and Spectral Analysis and Rock and Mineral Analysis. The research in this field is mainly based on collaborative work. Relatively few follow-up works are carried out, which awaits persistent and in-depth research. (2)in terms of research hotspots and progress, the utilization and types of testing methods are steadily increasing; the genetic type of nephrite deposit is closely related to hydrothermal process; the most popular dating method adopted is zircon U-Pb, followed by mica Ar-Ar, sphene Ar-Ar, and Pb-Pb dating. Current studies on origin identification are mainly based on trace element composition and spectral characteristics. The study of ore genesis mainly focuses on temperature, pressure and pH conditions. The study of petrological/gemmological characteristics of minerals mainly focuses on mineral composition, structure, element content, optical properties and origin of colour.
