Application of Astronomical Theme in Modern Jewelry Design

Astronomical theme is extensively applied to the modern jewelry design at the modern times integrating the science into the art.The cases of the astronomical-themed jewelry in some award-winning design and the jewelry series on brands are introduced briefly in this article.And the modelling and implication of the astronomical-themed jewelry are also analysed.To simply analyse the application of the astronomical theme in the modern jewelry design, the three concepts drawn from the astronomical theme, which are the romantic spirit of the modern science and technology, the full expression of the mathematical and physical beauty and the spirit of advancement of the times and the dreams of realization, are integrated into the personal four design works.Moreover, to further satisfy the aesthetical demands of the modern people, some essential characteristics of the astronomical-themed jewelry are summarized.
