Research on Gemmological Characters of Hydrothermal Synthetic Yellow Sapphire from Guilin
The gemmological characters of hydrothermal synthetic yellow sapphire from Guilin has been studied. The morphology, surface microtopographs and inclusions of synthetic yellow sapphire have been investigated. It has been confirmed that the infrared absorption in the range of 3500~2800cm-1 by OH or Al-OH stretch contract vibration are important evidence for identifying synthetic yellow sapphire.
