Imitation of Ruby Glass and Filling in Natural Ruby

The glass with colour and refrective index resemblance to ruby is obtained by adjusting the proportion of formula and heat-treatment temperature in the experiments.The results show that the refrective index increases with the content of Pb.The content of Pb has the obvious effect on t_g and liquidity of glass.The filling experiments on the natural ruby samples by glass containing 30% Pb show that the fissures decrease and the colour and quality are improved in the treated samples.
