Study on Durability of TCF Topaz from United States

Ten colours of TCF topaz samples which are produced by Signity Hongkong Company Ltd., i.e.olive green, green, yellow, sandy beige, orange, greenish-blue, blue, pink, light pink and bright red as subjects in the research.Through the comparison with the topaz by irradiation, diffusion and coating treatments, the durability experiments are carried out to make a systematic analysis.The results show that in terms of the corrosion resistance, TCF samples could be immune to corrosion when dipped in alcohol, detergent, washing powder, white vinegar, alkaline, 84 disinfectant, diiodomethane, toilet cleaner and silver washing liquid for a long period, which are better in corrosion resistance than the coated samples.In terms of the high temperature resistance, TCF samples could resist temperature of more than 900 ℃, whose resistance is better than that of the irradiated and coated samples.Concluded from the scratching resistance experiment, the Mohs'hardness of TCF samples is: 5<TCF samples≤6, higher than that of the coated samples.
