Study on Application of Mokume-Gane Technique

Mokume-gane technique is a special metal technique from Japan,and then improved by the west and used in the jewelry manufacturing industry.Now,there has a mature method to apply this technique at abroad.But in the domestic market no jewelry made by such technique comes out.The material characteristics which mokume-gane technique need and the basic process of the technique are mainly introduced in the paper.The key point and detail of the technique by the experience are discussed.Mokume-gane technique will be well known by more and more participant in this field,and the development of the contemporary jewelry design in China can be based on the improvement and innovation of the material and technique.
