Culture of Amber Heritage and Related Archaeological Findings

Amber is a natural fossilized resin formed through geological processes from resin secreted by ancient plants of different tree species during various geological periods. This article summarizes the history of the name of amber and its characteristics and development in different dynasties through literature investigation, illustrating the application of amber in traditional Chinese medicine as well as the archaeological research on amber through modern techniques.
