Differential Performance in Jewelry Design Activity

This paper expounds a manifestation of creative idea in jewelry design activities. By analyzing the differential performance of material selection, material application, production process and emotion transmission of jewelry design activities, it is clear that the differential performance is outness. Through the comparative analysis in particular jewelry design works with a specific theme, such as colour and lighting, pattern and modeling, material selection, wearing manner, processing structure and so on, it is finally found out the differential performance in jewelry design activity is extrinsic. The author designed some pieces of jewelries to demonstrate the operability of differential performance in jewelry design activities, in order to help to break the thinking set and design jewelry with innovative practice. It will lead the jewelry designer to further explore the design activities with "people-oriented" and innovative jewelry design.
