Scopus database is the world's largest abstract and citation database launched by the internationally renowned publisher Elsevier in November 2004. It is one of the world's five major literature retrieval systems. The Scopus database has a wide coverage, including: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings, and with all the indexed documents peer-reviewed, it provides a comprehensive overview of the world's research results in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities..

The successful admission of JoGG to the Scopus database cannot be achieved without the strong support and hard work of the authors, readers, editors and reviewers, and this achievement should also be credited to the joint efforts of the editorial board and the administrative department. The journal will persist in constructing a high-quality, international journal, strive for excellence in quality, provide considerate service for authors, and try hard to build up an ideal platform for international academic exchange, which will definitely benefit China’s gemmology discipline construction, talent cultivation, industry development, scientific research innovation and jewelry education.
