Application of Chinese Traditional Cloud Pattern in Modern Jewelry Design

摘要: 云纹是中国传统文化中重要的代表元素之一，反应人们崇拜自然、追求美好生活的愿望，寓意着吉祥如意、风调雨顺，具有很高的艺术价值和人文价值。以往对云纹的研究大多注重于它历史的演变和在历史进程中各种实物的应用。云纹从中国传统图形向现代图形转化是将其应用到现代首饰设计中的关键，从现代设计语言的角度来研究中国传统云纹显得尤为重要。以文献查找和研究前人的成果为基础，运用现代设计手法和理念，对云纹进行探讨，并就云纹转化为现代设计元素应用于现代首饰进行了思考，结合优秀的设计案例及作者的设计实践，分析了现代首饰中的云纹的形式和内涵，总结出可以从形状、寓意、神韵和气势等方面进行应用。Abstract: Chinese cloud pattern has a long history, which is one of the most important representative elements in Chinese traditional culture.The design of Chinese cloud pattern reflects the people's worship of nature and aspiration of pursuing a better life.Besides, Chinese cloud pattern is a symbol of auspiciousness and good harvest and it has a high artistic and cultural value.In the past, the research in Chinese cloud pattern is used to focus on its historical evolution and the various kind of application.The transformation of Chinese cloud pattern into modern pattern is a key to its application in modern jewelry design.It is very important to use modern design language in the research of Chinese traditional cloud pattern.On the basis of literature review and relative previous study, this paper discussed Chinese cloud pattern by using the modern design methods and ideas.Besides, application of Chinese traditional cloud pattern in modern jewelry design was analyzed during the transformation of traditional cloud pattern into modern patterns.It comes out that Chinese traditional cloud pattern can be applied to modern jewelry design from the aspects of shape, meaning, verve and momentum, as shown in the design practice of the author.
