On Denomination of Nephrite from Perspective of Culture, Market and Science and Technology

摘要: 关于玉的名称的讨论,涉及到矿物学、宝石学、文化经济学等诸多领域。从历史发展、科学进步、市场公平的角度论证了玉名的讨论与确立必须遵循3个基本原则,即有利于科技进步,有利于文化传承,有利于公平竞争。最后认为,这是社会发展进程中无法回避的问题。

Abstract: The discussion about the name of nephrite is related to the mineralogy, the gemmology, the cultural economy and many other fields.The three basic principles of discussing and establishing the name of nephrite are argued from the three aspects which are the development of history, the progress of science and the fair of market in this paper, that is the principles beneficial to the scientific and technological progress, cultural continuity and fair competition.Last but not the least, it is considered that it is an un-avoid question in social development.
