Application of Dunhuang Pattern in Modern Jewelry Design

摘要: 在现代首饰设计中再现传统的敦煌图案,以传承中国浓厚的传统文化。主要对敦煌图案进行了实地观察,分析其种类、构成特征和色彩特征等设计元素,初步尝试将其融入到现代首饰设计中。结合4款设计作品,浅析敦煌图案在现代首饰设计中的应用,旨在说明传统的和民族性的图案或元素在现代首饰设计中是必不可少的。

Abstract: The traditional Dunhuang patterns are reappeared in modern jewelry design in order to inherit and develop the strong traditional culture of China.The Dunhuang patterns are observed on the spot,and some design elements are studied such as variety,structure and colour characteristics of the patterns which could be used into modern jewelry design.With several design works,the application of Dunhuang patterns in modern jewelry design is simply analysed to illustrate that it is quite important to use the traditional and national patterns or elements in modern jewelry design.
