Study on Gemmological Characteristic and Genesis of Blue Pyrophyllite-type Corundum from Qingtian, Zhejiang Province

  • 摘要: 青田叶蜡石型蓝刚玉产于叶蜡石化的流纹质凝灰岩中,主要以微晶、枝蔓晶及单晶3种形式产出。X粉晶衍射、电子探针、红外光谱、激光拉曼光谱、差热分析等测试结果表明,该类型蓝刚玉的化学成分以富Si、贫Fe为特征,Ti,Fe杂质元素是导致该蓝刚玉晶体呈色的主要缘由。初步证实,叶蜡石型蓝刚玉是在酸性、中~高温环境下经变质作用而成。
    Abstract: The blue pyrophyllite-type corundum of Qingtian is originated from the rhyolitic tuff, and microcrystal, branch-like crystal and monocrystal are the main crystal forms of this kind of corundum. By X-ray powder diffraction analysis, electron microprobe, infrared absorption spectrum, Laser Raman spectrum and differential thermal analysis et al, we can see that the chemical compositions of the corundum are rich in silicon while free of iron, and the impurities of titanium and iron lead to the colour of this corundum crystal .The recent experiment has confirmed that the blue pyrophyllite-type corundum may be transformed by metamorphism under the condition of the acid and medium-high temperature.
