Characters of Brown Spot on Diamond from Hunan Province and Its Implication

摘要: 湖南省是我国 3个主要金刚石产地之一 , 所产金刚石的表面有大量的褐色斑点。其褐斑的颜色有黄色、黄褐色、褐色、黑色等 , 主要分布在金刚石的溶蚀面上 , 与金刚石的类型无关。在阴极发光仪下 , 褐斑区不发光 , 边部呈均匀的黄绿色。拉曼光谱显示 :褐斑中心区存在大量的空位 , 本征峰峰位漂移 , 由褐斑中心向外 , 峰值逐渐增大 , 半高宽逐渐减小。褐色主要由自然界放射性粒子的辐照造成。从褐斑的特点来看 , 湖南金刚石在形成砂矿后可能经过热变质作用 , 现代河流砂矿只是对原砂矿进行再次改造。Abstract: There are many brown spots on the diamonds from Hunan Province, which is one of the three important diamond places in China. The brown spots are yellow, yellowish brown, brown and black on the etched surfaces of any type of the diamond. CL colour of the brown spots is dark, but even yellowish green in the surroundings. Raman spectra show that the centers of the spots associate with vacancy, the characteristic peak value of the diamond increases and the full width at half maximum decreases from the center to rim of the spot. The colour of spot is caused by radiation of natural radioactive material. The alluvium bearing diamonds were experienced thermal metamorphism, and reformed by modern river again.
