Characteristics of Cathodoluminescence Spectra of Jadeite Jades from Burma

  • 摘要: 利用宝石阴极发光仪,对不同种类翡翠的阴极发光及其阴极发光光谱进行了研究。结果表明:(1)白色翡翠主要发暗蓝色、浅紫色和绿黄色光,与之对应的阴极发光谱峰位于370nm或554nm处;(2)浅绿色—绿色翡翠多发明亮的绿色—黄绿色荧光,当绿色较深时,会发紫红色光,其阴极发光谱峰位于554nm和760nm处;(3)深绿色翡翠通常发暗红色荧光,阴极发光谱峰位于760nm(主)和693nm(次)处;(4)粉紫色、紫色翡翠发较明亮的紫红色—红紫色荧光,其阴极发光谱峰位于370nm(主)和680nm(次)或者370nm(次)和680nm(主)处,取决于紫色调的深浅;(5)蓝紫色翡翠发蓝紫色荧光,阴极发光谱峰位于370nm(次)和508nm(主)处。对各类翡翠阴极发光的宝石学意义和机理予以初步剖析。
    Abstract: The cathodoluminescence and the spectra of the different kinds of jadeite jade are studied by using BY-1 cathodoluminescence spectroscope. The results show that (1) the white jadeite jade has dark blue, light purple or greenish yellow cathodoluminescence and the spectrum peak is at 370 nm or 554 nm; (2) the light green-green jadeite jade shows the bright green-yellowish green cathodoluminescence, or purplish red when the green is darker, and the spectrum peak is at 554 nm and 760 nm; (3) the dark green jadeite jade usually shows the dark red cathodoluminescence and the peak is at 760 nm (dominant peak) and 693 nm (secondary peak); (4) the pinkish purple and purple jadeite jades show the bright purplish red-reddish purple cathodoluminescence and the peak is at 370 nm (dominant) and 680 nm (secondary) or 370 nm (secondary) and 680 nm (dominant), depending on the shade of purple; (5) the bluish purple jadeite jade shows the bluish purple cathodoluminescence and the peak is at 370 nm (secondary) and 508 nm (dominant). The gemmological significance and its mechanism of the cathodoluminescence of the various jadeite jades are analyzed primarilly in the paper.
