IDENTIFIED CHARACTERISTICS OF GUILIN HYDROTHERMALLY-GROWN SYNTHETIC RUBY

  • 摘要: 桂林水热法合成红宝石是最近进入珠宝市场的一个新产品,特征是橙红色的体色,较强的黄色和橙红的多色性,缺失蓝绿区的可见光吸收光谱,无色或浅色的种晶残余,面包屑状的包裹体等。
    Abstract: Guilin hydrothermally-grown synthetic ruby is a new product, which has been seen in the gem market recently. It is characterized by orange-red color, stronger yellow (Ne)—orange-red (No) dichroism, lack of spectrum in green-blue region, colorless seed, crumb-like inclusions. These charac- tersitics are very different ftom other synthetic and natural ruby.
