Quantitative Appraisal for Colour of Ruby

  • 摘要: 以色度学为理论基础、Photoshop软件为工具,采用定量方法对红宝石样品的颜色进行评定研究与分析。运用数码相机对红宝石样品拍照或采用UMAX型扫描仪直接扫描样品并输入计算机中。通过Photo-shop图像处理软件中的HSB色彩模式,分析浅红色至深红色样品的颜色及GemSet中红宝石模具的标样颜色图片,分别读取其H,S,B参数值。根据这些参数值确定红宝石样品颜色的H的分类与级别以及S和B的定量分级,初步建立了红宝石颜色的定量分级评定方案。
    Abstract: On the basis of the colorimetry and Photoshop image software, the appraisal for the colours of ruby samples is studied by a quantitative method in the paper.The photographs of samples from light red to dark red and standard colours of ruby samples in GemSet are input into the computer by using a digital camera or UMAX scanner,which are analysed through the parameter values of hue (H), saturation (S) and brightness (B) in Photoshop software. The values are used to grade colour, saturaion, brightness and an integrative criterion for quantitative appraisal of colour of ruby is established. The results show that the method is feasible and practical.
