Two New Imitations of Nephrite

摘要: 在珠宝市场上白玉的仿制品较多,目前除了常见的仿制品外,又出现了两种新型仿制品。采用常规宝石学检测方法,测试了白玉及其两种仿制品样品的鉴定特征并进行了比较,但未能确定两种仿制品的宝石品种。进一步测试和分析了两种玉石样品的红外反射光谱特征,并与宝石的标准红外图谱进行了对比,结果表明,两种白玉仿制品分别为石膏和硅灰石。

Abstract: There are many imitated nephrites in the jewelry market.Besides the familiar imitations,two new kinds of imitations appear in the jewelry market recently.The identification characteristics of nephrite and the two kinds of imitation samples are tested and compared by the conventional gemmological methods.However,the types of the two imitation samples are not identified accurately.The characteristics of infrared reflectance spectra of the two imitation samples are further tested and analysed and compared with the standard infrared spectrum for gems.The results show that the two imitations are made of gypsum and wollastonite respectively.
