Abstract: Based on the recent appraising for a state-owned gems and jewelry company in its reformation，the procedure of gems and jewelry appraising has been introduced，and the key problems in this appraising such as choosing the price in benchmark day，difficulties in comparing jewelry quality，have been put emphasis on analysis．
