数控雕刻的走刀方式对比及加工特点

Comparison of Toolpath Modes and Machining Characteristics in CNC Engraving

  • 摘要: 本文利用崖柏进行雕刻实验,分析比较JDPaint软件提供的6种走刀方式(平行截线、等高外形、径向放射、曲面流线、环绕等距、角度分区),对比不同走刀方式在加工耗时、刀具运行轨迹以及加工质量等方面的差异,以期为数控雕刻材料(如翡翠等玉石)在选择走刀方式和参数设置时提供参考,为数控雕刻硬质玉石优化技术参数提供先导性研究。研究结果表明,平行截线走刀方式在加工耗时和加工质量方面表现较为均衡,在目前数控雕刻行业广泛应用;等高外形加工仅适合陡峭面加工,不适合平坦面加工;径向放射加工质量最高,但耗时最长,适当增大路径间距可在保证一定加工质量前提下提高效率;曲面流线走刀方式仅适用于单一弧面的加工;环绕等距加工耗时最短,但细节清晰度低;角度分区加工可通过设置合理的“与水平面夹角”参数提高加工质量,减少耗时。

     

    Abstract: In this study, 6 toolpath modes(paralled contouring, z-level profiling, radial toolpath, surface flowline machining, offset coutouring, angular partition machining) available in JDPaint software were compared through carving experiments on thuja. The differences in processing time, toolpath, and surface quality were systematically evaluated. The aim is to provide a reference for selecting toolpaths and optimizing parameters in CNC engraving of other materials, such as jadeite and other hard gemstones. This work also serves as a pilot study for optimizing technical parameters in CNC engraving of hard jades. The results demonstrated that the parallel contouring mode offers a balanced performance in terms of efficiency and quality, making it the most widely adopted strategy in the industry. The z-level profiling mode is only suitable for steep surfaces and ineffective for flat areas. The radial toolpath mode yields the highest quality but requires the longest processing time, appropriately increasing the path spacing can significantly improve the efficiency without substantially compromising quality. The surface flowline machining mode is only applicable to the single cambered surface. The offset contouring mode is the fastest but produces the lowest clarity in details. For the angular partition machining mode, processing quality and time can be optimized by setting an appropriate "inclination angle relative to the horizontal plane" parameter.
