Abstract:
As a historic and distinctive jewelry-making technique, metal wire winding technique has endured the impact of industrialization, particularly the challenges posed by mass machine production, resulted in issues such as aesthetic fatigue and insufficient market momentum. This study compared the differences between wire winding and other jewelry-making techniques across various dimensions, examined innovative methodologies for the application of these techniques in contemporary design by integrating structural craft theory with design aesthetics, and extracted Rococo style elements and combine them with metal wire winding techniques for creative practices to explore the significance of metal wire winding within the modern jewelry industry.
