Akoya灰珍珠与高品质辐照淡水灰珍珠的无损鉴定

Non-Destructive Identification of Gray Akoya Pearl and High-Quality Irradiated Gray Freshwater Pearl

  • 摘要: 近期,市场上出现了一批高品质的辐照淡水灰珍珠,肉眼较难与Akoya灰珍珠区分。为有效鉴别二者,选取9颗Akoya灰珍珠、11颗经γ射线辐照致色的淡水灰珍珠及2颗未经辐照淡水珍珠样品,通过宝石显微镜观察、扫描电子显微镜观察、紫外荧光、X射线荧光光谱、紫外-可见光谱和拉曼光谱对比其颜色特征、表面形貌特征、微量元素和光谱特征差异,建立无损鉴定方法。研究发现:(1)Akoya灰珍珠表面晕彩丰富,具有规则连续的等高线纹理,而辐照淡水灰珍珠表面晕彩简单,具有不规则的等高线纹理,长波紫外光下Akoya灰珍珠呈强蓝白色荧光,辐照淡水灰珍珠呈中等蓝白色荧光;(2)Akoya灰珍珠富Sr、贫Mn,辐照淡水灰珍珠反之;(3)在可见光区,辐照淡水灰珍珠均在400 nm附近存在吸收峰,Akoya灰珍珠具有455~550 nm吸收带;(4)拉曼光谱显示,紫色调和粉色调辐照淡水灰珍珠分别存在1 125、1 508 cm-1与1 131、1 523 cm-1的淡水珍珠特征峰,而Akoya灰珍珠不存在这2组特征峰。

     

    Abstract: Recently, some high-quality irradiated gray freshwater pearls have appeared in the market, which are difficult to distinguish from Akoya gray pearls by naked eyes. In order to distinguish them, 9 grey Akoya pearls, 11 grey freshwater pearls irradiated by γ-ray and 2 freshwater pearls without irradiation treatment were collected. The colour, surface morphology, trace elements, and spectral characteristics were characterized by gemstone microscopy observation, scanning electron microscopy observation, UV fluorescence, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, UV-Visible spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy, respectively. Four identification evidences were obtained: (1) grey Akoya pearls have a rich orient, with regular and continuous contour lines, while irradiated grey freshwater pearls have a simple orient, with irregular contour lines. Under long wave ultraviolet light, gray Akoya pearls show strong blue white fluorescence and the irradiated gray freshwater pearls show moderate blue white fluorescence; (2) gray Akoya pearls are rich in Sr and poor in Mn, while irradiated gray freshwater pearls are the opposite; (3) In the visible light range, irradiated gray freshwater pearls exhibit absorption peaks around 400 nm, while gray Akoya pearls have absorption bands ranging from 455 nm to 550 nm; (4) Raman spectra showed characteristic peaks of freshwater pearls at 1 125 cm-1 and 1 508 cm-1, as well as 1 131 cm-1 and 1 523 cm-1 in purple-toned and pink-toned irradiated gray freshwater pearls, respectively, and gray Akoya pearls did not exhibit those 2 sets of characteristic peaks.
