  • Mulan Stone is a kind of seal stones from Chaoyangwan,Weichang County,Hebei Province.Mulan Stone has been studied using EPMA,XRD,SEM and IR.The results show that chlorite- pyrophyllite rock and diaspore- pyrophyllite rock are the two main types of Mulan Stone.Pyrophyllite is the dorminantmineral and chlorite and sericite are the secondary in chlorite-pyrophyllite rock,while pyrophyllite is the dorminant and diaspore is the secondary in diaspore- pyrophyllite rock.In addition,there is a small amount of illite,kaolinite,boehmite and quartz in Mulan Stone.The main polytype of pyrophyllite is 1Tc.
