  • The measurement uncertainties of silver content in silver jewelry are evaluated by Volhard method in this paper.Taking a piece of 925-silver jewelry for example,the resources of the measurement uncertainties are analysed,which affect the measurement uncertainties of silver content by Volhard method,and each quantity of the measurement uncertainties is quantized.In the evaluation process,the expanded uncertainties are gotton with the Excel program.The result is expressed as followed:wAg=(92.55±0.24)%,k=2.It provides the credible theoretical basis for the quality controlling of silver jewelry by Volhard method.
