  • Green nephrite jade is one of nephrite jade from Canada which is one of the most important countries abound with nephrite jade resources．The gemmological characteristics ofgreen nephrite jade from Canada are preliminarily studied through the normal methods．The results show that this type of nephrite jade mainly consists of tremolite—actinolite isomorphismseries．The mineral components are tremolite dominantly, with minor actinolite, diopside, epidote, clinozoisite, magnetite, pyrite and other impurities．It has five types of texture, in whichmematoblastic texture is the most common．As a result, the quality of green nephrite jade fromCanada depends on impurity components, the types of texture, colour, luster and transparence, etc．
