  • The infrared spectroscope has been widely used in gem research and identification. The direct transmission technique is the most common method in measuring infrared spectrum of gemstone. The Lambert-Beer Law is introduced and the factors affecting the infrared spectrum are analyzed. It is important to comprehend this theory for selecting measurement methods and explaining the spectra.
