  • Image is a basic and core category of the Chinese traditional aesthetic.More than this, it is the important characteristic of the thinking model and plastic method of Chinese traditional art.Therefore, the research on image is one of the ways by which the modern jewelry design methods characterized by Chinese traditional art spirit could be explored.In this article, the expression forms of jewelry art are discussed, such as motif, modeling, material, decorating way and so on.The imagery beauty of China ancient jewelry art is inquired into through analysing and comparing the typical jewelry works which could most manifest the traditional image esthetic characteristics, namely the integrity, polysemy, symbolic and real life characteristics.
