Tentative Experiment of Brown Diamond under HTHP Treatment

  • In the paper,taking the Nova diamond,GE POL diamond and gray diamond for example,the mechanism of improving colour on diamond is disscussed from the angle of defect in crystal lattice.The tentative experiments of brown diamond samples under HTHP treatment are developed by using the synthetic equipment.The characteristics of IR and Raman spectra of brown diamond samples before and after HTHP treatment are also tested.The mechanism of improving colour is preliminarily analysed in order to offer more reference informations for the futher experiments of HTHP treatment.
