  • The glass with colour and refrective index resemblance to ruby is obtained by adjusting the proportion of formula and heat-treatment temperature in the experiments.The results show that the refrective index increases with the content of Pb.The content of Pb has the obvious effect on tg and liquidity of glass.The filling experiments on the natural ruby samples by glass containing 30% Pb show that the fissures decrease and the colour and quality are improved in the treated samples.
