  • The features, formation and distribution of amber are summarized in this paper, with focus on explaining its gemmological and biological characteristics. Amber is also a kind of precious Chinese Medicine. Its medicinal value is presented in this paper and two folk prescriptions are also presented. Finally, some problems in identifying and taking good care of amber are analysed and some valid recommendation and methods are proposed to solve these preblems.
