  • More and more people like the Hetian jade pebble for its whiteness and exquisite characteristics.So imitated Hetian jade pebbles are getting more common in the market due to the very limited reserves and fine profit of the Hetian jade pebble.The classification and the external characteristics of the Hetian jade pebble are introduced.Two general methods used for imitating the Hetian jade pebbles are analysed, which are the methods of material-grinding and dyeing process.The differences between the Hetian jade pebble and its imitations are systematically discussed and researched from its appearance, colour, hardness, density and luster, etc.The results show that the Hetian jade pebble and its imitations could be confirmed by means of the gemmological testing and the principal identified characteristics.
