A Comparative Study of Jewelry Design Style between Chow Tai Fook and Tiffany

In jewelry consumption, people choose a brand thus choosing a culture. As the representative of European and American brands, Tiffany from the United States conveys the diamond culture, while Chow Tai Fook from Hong Kong is the representative of Chinese jewelry brands. These two typical jewelry brands are featured with different styles. Chow Tai Fook is classical and traditional while Tiffany is fashionable and avant garde. However, with the communication and integration of Eastern and Western cultures, they also present some similarities. Jewelry design style reflects the differences and integration of the culture and is reflected in design elements such as design concept, material, colour, shape, elements, function and so on. Therefore, this article compares the design style of Chow Tai Fook and Tiffany based on these design elements, analyzes their differences and similarities, and explores the causes from a cultural perspective.
