  • Beryllium diffusion treatment is a newer treatment technique of corundum,but there is no report about the experiment research at home.The beryllium diffusion treatment experiments are taken by using the mechanism of diffusion and the replace of similar category,choosing the flame-fusion grown colourless sapphires and the natural sapphires from Shandong Province,under the certain temperature with the addition of appropriate amount BeO or metal Be powder and other preparation.The results show that the colour hue and saturation of the samples are greatly improved after the treatment,presenting the pink,yellow or orange red diffusion layers,while the natural sapphire samples from Shandong Province into the light colours.
