CHARACTERISTIC OF WESTERN SAYAN JADEITE JADE DEPOSIT IN RUSSIA

  • In recent years, author has received many jadeite jade raw materials from Western Sayan, Russia, and has opportunity to study Western Sayan jadeite jade deposit. Using microscope、 electron probe and X-ray, this paper emphasizes on the investigation of ore type, mineral paragenesis and micro-fabric of Western Sayan jadeite jade deposit ins Russia and the comparison between Western Sayan and Burmese jadeite jade. The research indicates that the hydrothermal fluid activizes multiperiodically and the emerald green jadeite jade contains more or less kosmochlor or omphacite which formed in the latestago. That the content of Cr2O3 of Western Sayan jadeit jade deposit is far lower than that of Burmese, results in lower quality of Sayan jadeite jade than that of Burmese. Jadeite jade ore of Western Sayan possesses the spherulitic and. packet textures which formed by recrystallization and mylonitic and eyed structures associated with multigroup cracks. It can be concluded that ore-control tectonic activized frequently; Temperature and pressure in active period vary greatly and recrystallization is obvious.
