  • This paper discusses the methods and essential criteria in diamond classification according to the requirement of diamond manufacture, and then analyses the features and disadvantages of traditional technologies in the diamond processing, including the design marking, cleaving ,sawing, bruting, polishing of the rough diamond. The current development in the modern diamond manufacture and equipment is presented in the paper and the future developing trend of diamond cutting technologies is forecasted in the end.
