MINERAL COMPONENT OF JADEITE JADE

  • Mineral component of jade is among the most important causes resulting in various varieties of jadeite jade. According to the orig in of minerals formed, the minerals consisting of jadeite jade can be classified as three categories: metamorphic crystalloblastic minerals, primary minerals and secondary minerals. Mineralogical characteristics and microfabric of the essential minerals were studied symatically by using polar microscope and electron microscope. All of these provide scientific information for quality evaluation and genesis of jadeite jade.
