  • There is an abundant pearl resources in China, and China has a long history of pearl cultivation. In the end of 20th century, China has become a major country of pearl cultivation. Pearl cultivation in China mainly concentrates at seawater cultured pearl bases including Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and fresh-water cultured pearl bases including Zhejiang and Jiangsu. Zhuji pearl from Zhejiang Province and Weitang pearl from Jiangsu Province play a key role in the global market of fresh-water cultured pearl.
