Colouration Mechanism and VIS, IR Spectra of Emerald from Malipo, Yunnan Province

UV-VIS, IR spectra and colouration mechanism of the emerald from Malipo, Yunnan Province, are studied. The LRM, IR and UV-VIS analytical testing techniques are employed in the research. The vibration types and existence format of water in the emerald are revealed. Further, the colouration mechanism of the emerald is discussed.
