  • At present, it is difficult to identify the opaque injection-wax and injection-plastic jadeite jades with the traditional mid-infrared spectrum method.The jadeite jade, injection wax and injection-plastic jadeite jade samples are tested and their near-infrared reflectance spectral characteristics are analysed by using the portable near-infrared mineral analyser(PIMA).The testing comparison of the mid-infrared transmission spectra of the semi translucent samples is also conducted.The results show that the near-infrared reflectance spectra of the transparent or opaque jadeite jade, injection-wax and injection-plastic jadeite jade samples could be acquired by using the PIMA(BJKF-1).And these spectral characteristics are significant differences among the three, which could be used to identify the jadeite jades, injectionwax and injection-plastic jadeite jades.
