Creative Thinking and Jewelry Design

Creative thinking is the core and soul in jewelry design. This paper first describes the definition and meaning of creative thinking and jewelry design, and then analyzes their associated relationships and aspects. The author considers modern jewelry design is the desiger’s dynamic creative thinking process, which not only reflecting in the cultural connotation, emotional expression, shape, colour, etc, but also reflecting in the choice of new materials, traditional technology breakthrough and innovation. Lastly, the author designs two pieces of works from the associated relationships of the creative thinking and jewelry design, which has a certain significance for fellow jewelry designers. The two pieces of works of the author provide an example to create a “novelty, difference, change” jewelry design works with vitality.
