  • The traditional Dunhuang patterns are reappeared in modern jewelry design in order to inherit and develop the strong traditional culture of China.The Dunhuang patterns are observed on the spot,and some design elements are studied such as variety,structure and colour characteristics of the patterns which could be used into modern jewelry design.With several design works,the application of Dunhuang patterns in modern jewelry design is simply analysed to illustrate that it is quite important to use the traditional and national patterns or elements in modern jewelry design.
