  • By using XRD, ICP-MS and FTIR, a systematic research is carried out on the mineral components, chemical compositions and gemmological characteristics of“Gold Tian Huang from Indonesia”which appears in the current jewelry market as a new imitation of Tian Huang.The results show that the“Gold Tian Huang from Indonesia”is mainly composed of calcite.The elements analysis indicates that besides Ca, high amount of transitional-metal ions such as Mn and Fe, may be the main reason for the golden yellow colour of the“Gold Tian Huang from Indonesia”.Compared with Tian Huang from Shoushan which is mainly composed of dickite, “Gold Tian Huang from Indonesia”is completely different in the mineral components, chemical composition and conventional gemmological characteristics.
