  • Guilin hydrothermally-grown synthetic ruby is a new product, which has been seen in the gem market recently. It is characterized by orange-red color, stronger yellow (Ne)—orange-red (No) dichroism, lack of spectrum in green-blue region, colorless seed, crumb-like inclusions. These charac- tersitics are very different ftom other synthetic and natural ruby.
