  • The common colour of jadeite jade which consists of jadeite, is green to yellow green with dark to middle bright under cathode luminescence. Jadeite with pure composition will display bright purple red, while it contains calcium and manganese but nonferrous, the colour is purple blue and white with middle bright to bright. The features of jadeite jade can be discriminated clearly with cathode luminescence. A, B and C jadeite jades can be identified just because of their own characteristic colours. Jadeite jade differs from other gem and jade by luminescence characteristic and they can be distinguished most easily with cathode luminescence.
