  • The chicken-blood stone is an important gemstone resource in China, which has been enjoyed by Chinese people for more than 600 years. In this article, the mine information and the mining process of Changhua chicken-blood stone are introduced, and Changhua chicken-blood stones are investigated by means of FTIR and XRD techniques. One kind of chicken-blood stones is found, in which matrix is mainly composed of alumite and quartz. The mineral composition of the matrix should be taken into account when the chicken-blood stones are named.
