  • With the rapid development of informationization in the field of jewelry processing, gem processing has been developed from traditional manual cut into the digital era of grinding. Digital processing has greatly improved the efficiency and quality of processing. This article taked Wuzhou that it is called a prestigious of the world of artificial gems for example. Firstly, based on a large number of literature that are used to analyze the development history and application prospect of Wuzhou gem processing, the authors emphasized the applicational necessity of digital processing in the field of precious stones processing. Secondly, through the comparison and analysis from the technical level, it can be analyzed from the following three aspects: power installation, circumferential angle and angular of facet gem processing equipment, which shows the superiority of digital machine in the field of precious stones processing. Thirdly, through research and analysis above, the authors explored suitable way for stone processing industry in our country in the future development direction, in order to provide a theoretical basis and scientific ideas to forecast development direction of gem processing industry and promote the healthy development of jewelry industry in China.
