A Ceative Jewelry Design Based on Mortise and Tenon Structure

Mortise and tenon is the crystallization of ancient Chinese history, culture and scientific wisdom, containing ingenious design ideas and artistic value. The application of mortise and tenon structure in jewelry design is relatively less, and the existing research is mostly focused on the appearance, process and cultural aspects of mortise and tenon, with limited exploration of the fun it brings to jewelry design. Through a literature review and case analysis, this study classifies and summarizes the mortise and tenon structure, explores its aesthetic beauty, structural beauty, and connotative beauty in jewelry, as well as the design methods of "interesting" mortise and tenon structure, thus applying it to jewelry design. In the process of jewelry creation, different materials, jewelry wearing methods, and detachable structures are integrated into the innovative design of jewelry, so that traditional mortise and tenon structure can combine with the fun of modern jewelry design, break through traditional thinking, and realize the inheritance and innovative development of mortise and tenon structure in jewelry design.
