摘要: 珠宝年代鉴定对了解和评估珠宝具有重要意义。年代鉴定可从多方面入手,珠宝首饰本身所用的材料和技术工艺可以提供比较客观、准确的线索。珠宝的发展历史就是一部材料与技术的发展史。各种新材料如贵金属、宝石、珍珠、合成材料等的相继出现,各种新技术如金属加工技术、宝石切割和镶嵌技术以及技术专利等不断地推陈出新,留下了追寻珠宝历史时间的线索。珠宝首饰的材料和技术工艺就是一系列重要的时间印记。

Abstract: It is quite significant to understand and value a piece of jewelry through dating.There are many ways for the jewelry dating.Related materials or techniques of the jewelry at a period could give some objective and accurate clues to the jewelry dating.The jewelry history is also a history of material and technology development.The new jewelry materials such as precious metal,gemstone,pearl and synthetic material appear one after an other,and the new techniques such as metal working,gemstone cutting,gemstone setting and patents are invented endlessly,which leave the clues to searching the history of jewelry.In other words,the materials and techniques of jewelry are a series of time imprinting.
