  • The secondary inclusions in gems, which are formed by the proceeding of weathering, mining, cutting of gems, are related to the diffusing, percolation and precipitation of aqueous solution which contains weathered chemical material, fine silt, grinding and polishing abrasive. The shapes of the secondary inclusions can be different, such as membrane-like, branch-like, leaf-like, grid-like, feather-like, petal-like, gauze-like, fingerprint-like, raindrop-like, string beads-like, etc, and are similar to proto-inclusions in gems, but can be identified according to the forming characteristics and contents of the inclusion.
